Commission.

It’s everywhere and paid to someone in 99% of businesses.

Quota’s are set, to align individual and company goals and targets.

It drives behaviours and pushes the business forward.

But I’ve found it can be quite divisive.

Which got me thinking…

Recently, Ryan from RepVue posted on the topic, which I think articulates it quite well.

Ultimately, you’re only paying commission when business is won.

So if you have any feelings of resentment, or otherwise, when commission payments go out the door; remember, its on the back of business thats closed, for many multiples of what you just paid to the person who got it over the line.
