Two weeks ago I presented a Sales Masterclass as part of the agenda at the Rare Founders London’s Largest Pitch Day event; and this was my opening slide.

It was a slight dig at Sales folk. That they’re:

• One track minded

• Ruthless

• Only driven by money (the famous ‘commission breath!’)

• Have a ‘sell and forget’ mentality…

But the point I wanted to make; was that we’re ALL Sales people. And not just at work and in business, but all the time.

Which got me thinking…

How many of us realise this? Do we have this in the back of our minds in all of our interactions, at least in the business world? Do we realise how much these interactions, impressions, garnered goodwill all compounds over time?

There’s an old adage about leaders that I feel is relevant here too:

“People will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel”.
